Packaging / Food & product brands
Packaging design that belongs to your brand
I design packaging and labels for product brands, with a particular focus on food. Each project brings together the character of the brand, the information people need to read and the practical requirements of the packaging format.
A particular focus on food packaging
Food packaging needs to communicate the product clearly and feel right for the brand. I work with typography, colour and imagery to establish that balance, then develop a consistent system across flavours, formats and product sizes.
The work is grounded in your product brief and the specifications from your packaging supplier. It can include a new packaging direction, a refresh of an existing range or packaging developed alongside a new visual identity.
Packaging design services
- Product packaging graphics and labels.
- Typography, colour and information hierarchy.
- Visual systems for product variants and ranges.
- Application of an existing or newly developed brand identity.
- Artwork preparation for the agreed production specifications.
The scope depends on the packaging format, number of products and the identity assets available. A single label and a coordinated range require different design work.
Identity and packaging, considered together
A package brings a brand into a physical setting. The logo, typography and supporting graphics need to work with the format and with the information the customer must read.
If you are launching a new brand, brand identity design can establish the system before it is applied to packaging. If you already have an identity, share its guidelines and existing artwork so the packaging can follow it.

What information is needed?
Share the product, packaging format, dimensions or supplier dieline, number of variants, existing brand assets, required text, timeline and approximate budget.
Can an existing identity be used?
Yes. Packaging can be developed from your existing identity, with a clear relationship between the current brand and the new product presentation.
How are production details handled?
Printing requirements, materials, finishes and artwork specifications need to be agreed with your packaging supplier. Supplier constraints should be available before final artwork is prepared.
Can you collaborate remotely?
Yes. Sara Salim works with founders, manufacturers, studios and brand teams worldwide. Enquiries can be made in English or Persian.
